If you own or are planning to purchase a GMC vehicle in Bartow, the myGMC action allows you to connect remotely to your GMC vehicle using nothing but your voice. You can use it on all GMC vehicles that are model year 2011 or newer, and the only basic requirements for getting started are a Google Home device (such as the Nest, Nest Hub, or even Nest Mini), a Connected Services plan, and your GMC Account information.
Setting up Google voice recognition on your GMC vehicle is simple. Just connect your phone to your infotainment system using Bluetooth, then use the Push-To-Talk button on the steering wheel to say, “Hey, Google” and get started. You can use all of the functions your phone supports with ease, such as making calls, sending texts, or opening Maps safely and easily.
Google Assistant and Maps were introduced to Buick vehicles as built-in features in 2021, which makes them incredibly simple to set up. If Google Assistant is built into your infotainment system, all you need to do is connect your compatible phone via Bluetooth and then say, “Hey, Google.”
On the other hand, if you have a previous-generation or next-generation Buick infotainment system that does not have Google Assistant built in, you can install Android Auto to use it with your vehicle. Simply connect your phone via Bluetooth, press the Push-To-Talk button on the steering wheel (or say “Hey, Google”) and use all of the commands supported by your phone.
