Lease-End Process at Kelley Buick GMC, Inc.

You have several end of car lease options in Winterhaven. You can go through the lease end process and lease another vehicle, purchase the vehicle you’ve leased, or go through the lease end process and buy another vehicle, or no vehicle at all. No matter which end of car lease option you chose, if you don’t plan to purchase your leased vehicle, here’s how to return it to Kelley Buick GMC, Inc.:

Preparing for your Lease Return

Since a lease comes with wear and tear limitations, you’re going to want to make sure that your leased vehicle is as close to factory condition as possible. Not doing so can lead to extra fees.

  • Wash your car and clean out the cabin. While you can do this yourself, you can get professional results when you schedule a detailing at our service center.
  • Inspect the exterior of your vehicle for scratches and buff them out. Exterior detailing can help.
  • If you find small dents, consider having them repaired by a paintless dent removal company.

Schedule the Lease Inspection

Once your leased vehicle has been prepared for inspection, make an appointment for your lease inspection at least 90 days before your lease end date. You’ll likely be contacted by the leasing company to make arrangements. The inspection will look for excessive wear and tear, such as:

  • Dents, dings, scratches, and scrapes on the exterior
  • Cracks, stars, or excessive pitting on the windshield and in the windows
  • Abnormal tire wear
  • Upholstery tears and stains that can’t be repaired or cleaned with normal refurbishing

If the inspection leaves you with fees that add up, you can compare them to the cost of paying for the repairs yourself and ask for a second inspection.
